Dying a T-Shirt or Jeans using Coffee Grounds or Tea: Step-By-Step Tutorial
Dying T-shirts is another way to transform a white shirt or pair of jeans into a colorful piece. Here you will learn how to take a plain old white T-Shirt or pair of jeans and change it into a new looking piece using coffee grounds or tea. This method is great if you want to cover up stains that might have caused you to hang them up.

Materials Needed for T-Shirt:
1. At least 10 tablespoons of finely ground coffee or 4 teabags.
2. T- Shirt or other article of white clothing.
3. Large pot of water.
Materials Needed for Jeans:
1. At least 20 tablespoons of finely ground coffee or 10 teabags.
2. Pair of Jeans or Denim clothing
3. Large pot of Water.
Tip: add more coffee or tea for a darker tint.
Step-By-Step Process:
1. Brew a pot of coffee or tea
2. Place the T-shirt or jeans in the pot of water to saturate the fabric.
3. Add the boiled tea or coffee to the cold water and slowly bring it to a boil for a few minutes. Turn down the heat and let this mixture simmer for approximately half and hour and then pull the T-shirt or jeans out of the solution.
4. Squeeze out the remainder of the dye and lay the T-shirt down flat to dry. When it’s dry it will have taken on a beautiful antique-beige glow.
